Our planet changes all the time. Always has always will - until it is no more or totally baron.
I can remember a white Easter before. Not sure of the year, possibly early 60s? I can also remember sunbathing in a bikini in the garden on Easter Sunday. A slightly older friend says she can remember snow in June and added '.... but that was when King George was on the throne'.

In other words, the weather is being normal for the time of year - variable!
Let's hope at the end of it all we see a long hot summer.

But then I suppose we will be moaning for a little rain.
I'm leaving packing for my Easter break until the day before - been caught out in years gone by with a snowy Easter.
My mother told me about snow in June one year. White Easters not uncommon, especially if Easter falls in March.
I remember snow in june in Somerset in the late 70's maybe early 80's
Actually, woof, that has reminded me of an occasion when my rockery was sprinkled with snow and I thought 'Ah! That's why that plant is called 'Snow in Summer'!' That must have been in the 70s.
Disappointing but weather can be unpredictable.
I can just beat that Capt. Cricket match snowed off in July at Queensbury(highest village in England), not a lot, but enough to lightly cover the pitch.
I can remember walking to the local shop on a Good Friday about 25 years ago in a snow blizzard! My Grandma always told me about snow in June ....
Would this be the same forecasters who predicted an Indian Summer last year?
I'm still waiting for that to happen...

ham, for me, it was my mum who said 'we've had snow in June before'

About 32 years ago, Mr Alba and I went camping with a couple of friends, we woke up to about 6inches of snow just outside Lochawe, so the fishing was cancelled lol)
I read about it in Mail Online albs where I also read about the last two extremely cold spells this winter, so they do have a good track record on it so far, unfortunately .....
I'll believe it when I see it.
I'm a window cleaner and as such, probably watch the weather forecasts more than anyone. The very short term forecasts are generally quite accurate, but beyond that .... well, I don't even know why they bother trying to be honest.
I'll look at the week's forecast on Sunday evening and mentally note what it's doing on each day. By the time Thurs evening comes, the forecast for Fri is sometimes nothing like what it was on Sunday evening.
In short - forecasts for 1 or 2 days in advance are generally accurate (ish) .... anything beyond that - take with a pinch of salt :)
its just doing what comes naturally, one minute sunny and cold, next comes more snow, hopefully it won't snow over Easter but if it does we will just have to live with it and get on as best we can.
I could use the Enterprise to alter ever so slightly , the tilt of the earth in Britain's favour .

Would that help ?

“I'll believe it when I see it.”

As said above their weather predictions of “the beast from the east” and it’s offspring the “mini beast from the east” were spot on.
However their political predictions leave a lot to be desired.
Very kind of you to offer - but I don't suppose it would make much difference in the long run. :)

And a year later , we had one of the sunniest and warmest year on record
