AOG, What makes you think it was terrorist linked?
One or the other.
Wouldn't be news if it were just another day. No indication of terrorism itself yet. Possibly an isolated incident by a person either with mental issues, or drug addled, or both. Time will tell.
'Mental issues'! Has this become the universal get-out clause?

I don't, I was just asking the question.

But thinking about it it could have ended up like the Lee Rigby terrorist slaughter.
Mental health issues is NOT a get out clause.

Stable people do not go round attacking people with swords!
AOG, the man did not target the police officers. They approached him because he was acting suspiciously.

/// Wouldn't be news if it were just another day. ///

These days every day is a news day.
I doubt this one is terrorist linked although with all the lies the Establishment put out these days it is going to always raise questions.

/// AOG, the man did not target the police officers. ///

Where did I say that he did?
In actual fact he was threatening members of the public. Didn't you read the report?

/// Police were called to the scene following reports of a man threatening passersby on Demesne Road. ///
Hardly the actions of a terrorist to threaten.
Spath, Encountering someone wielding a weapon like that would scare me. I think aog's question together with his post at 10.05 is relevant.

/// What makes this terrorism? You scared? ///

No, but perhaps if you had been on the scene at the time, perhaps even you 'Brave Heart' would have been scared.
Yes, it is a relevant question, terrorism comes in all shapes and forms these days and a sword wielding person could well be a terrorist or not carrying a full load or both. Lets not forget a favourite of the Islamic fundamentalist is to behead the infidel at every opportunity.
-- answer removed --
There is no mention in the article of this person being Asian or a Muslim.
-- answer removed --
spath, yes, give a man wielding a sword in public the benefit of the doubt. Let's wait and see if he chops someone's head off and then act. That's a good idea. Sheesh!
