They are already arguing about the likely tax increases to cover the shortfall created when we leave. Italy is particularly vociferous in it's demands for funds to cover our "missing" dosh, and insists that they will not pay increased "taxes" themselves regardless.

Then there is the shortfall in the healthcare "contributions".
""BRITAIN paid European governments nearly £565million more last year to treat UK citizens abroad than the government got back from them to care for their nationals, official figures have shown.""
How come we pay £565million a year more, to treat uk citizens abroad, than the other 27 EU spongers pay us?

Power-mad bureaucrats living in a bubble of unearned privilege - Junker hiring private jets to fly him to Rome and back etc. If it were to downsize drastically and reform it would survive - (and be of benefit to the citizens of Europe) but there is about as much chance of the EU reforming from within, as there is of Islam doing similarly. For the sake of the continent's survival, they both need to be strangled.
Awww, gawd. The old ‘start another thread’ posts. Some people can see through you you know Tora. You asked a question with the overblown word ‘tyrrany’ in it. All I’ve asked you to do is give some examples of that tyranny. It’s not worthy of a separate question. It just need the author to qualify why he used it.
The UK was never fully committed to the EU project so I am not convinced that Brexit will have much of an effect, other than meaning others will have to pay more. In fact Brexit might be a good thing for the EU. When one of the bigger countries abandons the euro I will start to believe project fear.
ok ZM you start another thread to debate whether the EU is a tyranny. For the purpose of this question I assert that it is, though if it helps you focus, replace the word "tyranny" with something you like lets call it ZM ism. Then the question becomes "Has UK once again saved Europe from ZM ism" - if you agree that the EU is going to collapse in the next generation as stated in the link then the UK has indeed saved Europe from ZM ism and you can safely answer yes....capiesch?
