Naomi 8.33 - whilst I in no way include most of the population of Bradford in my following observation - I can aver that not all votes are given according to the traditions we respect and accept. I was truly shocked to hear children chatting and telling me that 'the imams were round last night to fill in the voting forms'. When I questioned delicately as to why this was so (the kids thought it an honour to have the imam in the house) they didn't really know, but they had been round to fill in the form applying for a postal vote earlier. All the adults did was to sign the form and the vote, which was then taken away.

To pre-empt the usual responses - yes, I did refer it (weary sigh).
