And so it goes on.
Still no evidence of Russian involvement in the poisoning episode.
How many times will they change the location of where and how the poison was administered. The fatal toxic substance is proving to be not fatal after all. Then two Guinea pigs and a cat had to be put down to make another case.
The Russian relative the refused access to the UK after a "mistake" on her visa application. Does no one find all this a bit strange. Very convenient distraction. I suppose this was all thought up at a Cobra meeting. We need a distraction from Brexit. The public will swallow anything.
Boris Johnson has the cheek to call anyone an idiot. The man is a bumbling fool.
Then we have the wave of stabbings and shootings in London.
Who stopped the policy of stop and search. None other than Theresa May!
No crisis says Amber Rudd as she sheepishly hides away over recent days.
Not due to police numbers being reduced she says.
Then contradicts herself by sending an extra 300 officers a day to the affected areas to combat the problem. Couldn't make it up!
The we have MET Police "top gun" Cressida Dick.
Interviewed on tv on Saturday. Says there is no crisis with Law and Order.
She says those responsible will be brought to justice. We are very good at that she says. Ends her interview with the claim, "remember the motor scooter crime wave recently, we have got on top of that".
Red faces all round as we see the daylight robber of the jewellers shop this morning by machete wielding scooter gangs. Oh dear!
God help us all with this Government.

If I was you I’d relax and enjoy your Sunday. Turn off RT and watch some real cartoons :-)
None of us has all the facts. Russia is playing games here too. The position is that this seems to be a nerve agent developed by the Russians. The international comunity backs the UK position that either Russia was involved or Russia has not kept control of it- and Russia has simply tried to deflect things with its massive disnformation scheme using Facebook etc which makes it much better at propoganda, fake news, confusion and obfuscation than it was even in the Soviet days.
As for London crime, I get the impression you feel that crime in London started in 2017. And does the Mayor not have a contribution to make - like Amber Rudd he's been rather quiet.
Hi Vlad, how's it going? welcome to AB.
What's your view on Russian involvement in the shooting down of the Malaysian aircraft, and the bombing and gassing of civilians in Syria? Do you believe their denials of those things as well?
I can't work out if needabrain is simply trolling or really is that dim.
Has anyone noticed that if you prefix Putin's name with Ras you get another notorious Russian figure.
Rants are never very attractive and don't help convince anyone. However, the UK has fairly recent form on making noisy accusations, gathering international support, isolating the victim country, etc. in order to deflect attention from the UK's (government and country) mounting (and embarrassing) problems. But then ultimately, the UK not only failed to crush the country in question but actually lost an international court case which the UK raised as a last ditch attempt at a face-saving measure and was admonished quite firmly (couldn't just back down, of course). That was a Labour government so hopefully this government is not trying to succeed where the others failed - we may never find out the whole truth of the Skripal case.

However, if the Russians are ultimately found not to have done this then the aftermath will be more in the open than the case I refer to above. Then the country under attack was tiny little Iceland and the court outcome was scarcely mentioned in the UK media. Moreover, Iceland is a fellow founding member of NATO and has got used to bullying by the UK (remember the cod wars, all of which the UK lost) and is also used to coming out on top. Russia on the other hand is of a size to be taken seriously and a former cold war adversary. Iceland has now fully recovered from the economic adversity made much worse by the UK and, as before the crash, outperforms the UK on just about all fronts (per capita, not pure size). Icelanders have better lives than Brits, but then that is not so difficult.
Perhaps someone ought to figure out (a) what the UK would gain by poisoning the Skripals, and (b) what the Russians would gain by poisoning the Skripals.
Much as I would like to believe Russia to be innocent there is no viable alternative explanation.
nice to see Karl taking this chance to sho horn some ant britishness into this.
3T, you are getting slow - 22 minutes with the anti-British accusation is not your best time :) Of course it is anti-British to point out the UK's adverse history, it sure spoils the illusion of greatness. Pointing out that in performance the UK is trailing behind a string of countries, well, again it hints at something other than superiority which is just plain nasty. There was a boy who was said to have refused to accept that the emperor's new clothes were real...... Would it not be awful to have to wake up from a dream and find reality quite different ? Changing/improving and actually doing well instead of just pretending to would be a novelty.
I was watching a program about Porton Down the other night.
First nerve agent developed in the 1940's.
(Possibly Sarin)
1950's we develop Agent X. 1 pinhead sized drop- instant death.
60 years on and the Russians can't make one that works.
Hard to believe.
Wait......of course the turn around is just a year or two away, isn't it ?
1. The guinea pigs died. The cat was euthanised.

2. The changing theory about exposure actually implies that they are considering various possibilities, therefore there isn't any evidence of disingenuity.

3. Viktoria Skripal did not make an error on her Visa application, she was simply, and candidly, refused on the basis that she was being used as a pawn by the Kremlin. Diplomatiically, a very cautious and wise move on our part.

Do your homework.
The "non-working" of this agent is now being used, hilariously, by the Russians as evidence that they weren't guilty "because if we HAD done it it would have worked properly"
However, it seems that nerve agents of all sorts are MUCH less effective (thank goodness) if taken in through the skin, if treated quickly, and that the good old human body is able to replace the damaged enzyme in time.
The strength and "toxicity" of all this stuff is based on lab experiments on defenceless animals. And if delpoyed on a warhead no doubt it would have a catastrophic effect.
//if treated quickly, and that the good old human body is able to replace the damaged enzyme in time.//

Indeed. The key to their long-term survival was to keep them alive long enough with life support for their bodies to excrete the nerve agent, at which point they would once again beginning producing the crucial enzyme, acetylcholinesterase.
Has the OP been struck down with a bad case of stage fright?
Needawin, your post is Brilliant. " God help us all with this Government" I have to agree with you. No mercy , where were you radicalised ?.
Gullible1, hit me with some facts. I'm waiting on tenterhooks here.
