If someone says something that you find unacceptable, it’s not ‘getting your knickers in a twist’ to calmly tell them.
And you’re wrong gto label people idiots just because they may have innocently said something offensive or irritating.
Sure - there are those who deliberate use perjorative terms, but they’re ‘different’.

Incidentally, your determination to ‘challenge’ innocent comments doesn’t impress me either. Aggressive behaviour creates more problems than it cures. Still, enough said. This thread, I think, has run out of steam – well, for me at least.

An appropriate reaction is to simply have a quiet word. Put them straight.

You should calm down - you take life way too seriously. Go out and meet up with friends rather than getting yourself all in a lather. It’s a sunny day out there (unfortunately, I have to work!)
