Why would anyone trust any substance available at these "music" festivals? Do parents no longer tell their kids not to take things when you have no idea what it is? madness.

In my opinion if you want any of the illegal drugs made legal you would have to prove their safety. //
We have cross-posted, but as I have said, I believe there is a strong case for legalisation.
Government control would mean that drugs could be manufactured within stringent safety standards and the dosage variations and contained involved in illegal drugs - and therefore the huge number of deaths - could be eliminated.
It I buy a packet of cigarettes in Edinburgh, and a packet in Torquay, I know that government control means that the drug content is the same.
I believe it makes sense to do that for all drugs.
As I said, we don't have a say in whether or not we have drugs, that ship has sailed long ago.
Control and safety are things we can ensure, if we want to.

Both sound wonderful, the idea of 'fighting a war' against something is a great political soundbite.
Fighting an enemy that you can't see is meaningless, and the 'wars' should be stopped for the futile and costly waste of time that they are.

Legalise all drugs !. Let the stupid idiots take as much as they like. Then in a few years time when the effects of all these so-called safe drugs start taking over their minds and bodies they might just begin to wish that they had never started taking drugs in the first place.No-one knows what the long term effects will be.
