I don't suppose they'll be prosecuting those without tickets that forced their way in, will they?

//Someone needs to be held to account for what happened on that day//
Why? Gross negligence by people working in the public services isn't usually punished. The worst that happens is that they're moved from one position to another retaining full pension rights etc. and in some cases with a golden handshake.

CASSA, folk can be charged only for crimes current at the time of the alleged offence. Any sentence imposed would also follow any guidance that applied at the time. If there was no guidance at the time of the offence, current guidance is used subject to the maximum sentence/fine at the time of the offence.
That doesn't mean someone found guilty to-day of a 1960 murder can be hanged mind.

Duckenfield is guilty of nothing more than doing a difficult job on the day, sure he made errors but he did not set out to cause what happened. Are we now saying that he is 100% to blame and that the ticketless fans are 0% to blame? Those that covered it up are guilty opf perverting the course of justice, prosecute them.

Back in those days it was possible that fans had tickets but the entry systems were overwhelmed. I think its a shame that people cant accept that even if some in the group were less than perfect it was innocent people including children who died horribly that day.

Those of us who had people there don't like it constantly dragging on any more than you do - but that's not in our control is it?

'[Lord Justice Taylor] accepted there were "small groups without tickets" looking to "exploit any chance of getting into the ground". But the main problem was simply one of "large numbers packed into the small area outside the turnstiles". He stated categorically that "fans' behaviour played no part in the disaster".'
