It proves what everyone knows - trade is trade. It was before the EU existed, it will be after the EU breaks up - because that is how the world turns.

Krom, //there seems to be general confidence at the moment that a soft Brexit is highly likely.//

Can’t say I’d noticed you sharing that confidence - and the rest of the Remainers likewise. I would have thought news that trading will continue would be welcomed, but no. Even the positive brings the usual lip-dragging doom and gloom.
anneasquith/kvalidir, if you know differently, do share.

spath, depends what you think is the wrong way. Personally, I do think we're rubbing it the wrong way - absolutely the wrong way - but, despite that, we can at least hope for a hard Brexit.

"Much of the mis-labelled "Project Fear" is already metamorphosing into "Dawning Reality" "

Interesting answers. But as expected from some.
I'm sorry for not having the correct response.

Tell you what, I'll staple my mouth open in a nice big grin. If anyone asks why, I'll tell them I'm feeling optimistic.

Who said you had the wrong response? Of course if the cap fits .....
spath: "If we keep rubbing brexit the wrong way it'll almost definitely be a hard brexit " - please let that be the case.
Presuming the tie-up will be beneficial to both customers and staff alike, seems a good thing.
It's interesting that the VB persist and presumably they think they are doing the right thing for the country, as did the VF before them. They seem to actively want to ignore democracy, how do they reconcile that with their own sense of democracy? It seems to me that democracy must be derailed if the silly public give the "wrong" answer. people like Saint Tony and kromo on here seem to think they are doing a public service by saving us from ourselves. Well don't, I voted for independence from the EUSSR the rest of the minutiae matters not one jot to me.
It seems to me that whether folk voted leave or remain it's become yet another basis for squabbling and nicknames/initials etc - some are loving it.

I voted remain, it didn't go my way, as always in life I have to lump it.

This business tie-up doesn't look bad to me based on what I know.
