A couple of people were taken to hospital in Wiltshire last Saturday after being "exposed to a substance", according to the radio this morning. Wiltshire? Porton Down? Chemicals? Those Ruskies have got a lot to answer for! Anyway, the authorities couldn't release this news till now because they don't want to panic anyone; especially if you live in Wiltshire. Calm down, dears. It's only "a substance". Whatever that means.

Now been confirmed as Novichok. Which is ONLY manufactured at ONE place in the world, the KBG chemical warfare laboratory in the USSR.
This means the clean up was NOT successful and there will probably be more lying around waiting for someone to stumble upon it. Holiday trip to Salisbury anyone?

Polonium is produced in a type of nuclear reactor run by the USSR. No problem getting hold of several tonnes of that if they want to.
