I’ve been following him in twitter and to see a so called thug leaving his life of luxury to go and help a 3rd world country with his own time and money is something we could all learn from.

He’s a modern day Robin Hood and hero in my eyes.

Yes it is rather juvenile to taunt our fine constabulary I know.

Are you serious?
Yes, I would if I was a Sierraleonan (is that how you spell it/)
this guy is a convicted criminal. do you believe that his odd bit of charity work means the police are obliged to say "oh that's all right then" and let him off.
some in society consider this guy to be a hero. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10583120 if it had been revealed he too did good works somewhere or other, would that have been grounds to drop all charges?
I think he is a tarp (anagram )
He seems to be on a permanent ego-trip
He also saw a thug beating and kicking his poor dog mercilessly in Liverpool and intervened, giving the cowardly thug a taste of his own medicine and took the poor abused dog from him and found it a good home. As an animal lover this tempers my feelings somewhat, rightly or wrongly.

He’s only wanted for alleged drunk driving so I’d hardly a Bond villain wanted by every worlds crime agencies and I’m not saying that he shouldn’t be arrested and tried IF he’s committed a crimeage but he still toils to bring a smile, good, shelter, clothing, medical supplies and toys to the poor Africans.

He is to be commended as it’s one thing to throw a few coins in a charity tin but completely another to evade police and take a container filled with all the above DIRECTLY to the poor on another continent uising uour own time and money whilst risking your freedom and possibly your life.
He isn't a hero in the true sense of the word , known too many like him.
After looking at the maps indicating his "jaunts", he appears to be a bit of a "Where's Wally?" character as mentioned in another thread. Would I call him a hero? No. In his own tweeted-up mind he might be.
He's a drug dealer!
I have always believed that conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan have seen the term 'hero' diluted from its true meaning, and coming to label anyone who is a soldier - which is someone doing the job they chose, and are paid for.

To me, a hero is someone who acts in an heroic way, showing courage in order to help or save one or more other people, acting at personal risk in the process.

So no, I would not call him a hero.
I probably wouldn't call him a hero either, but he does do some good in the world.

He’s paid his debt to society and by your logic someone who has done crime and been convicted should be hounded and ostracised for life?

He proves the exception to the rule, bad people can turn good and do constructive things with their lives as his actions prove.

Turning your back on a life of crime does not make someone a hero.
So where does he get his funds for his "charity " work, hard graft at the coal face, I think not.
// leaving his life of luxury to go and help a 3rd world country with his own time and money is something we could all learn from. //

I agree. Next time I'm on the run from the police, that's what I'm going to do.

"He’s a modern day Robin Hood and hero in my eyes. " - just shows how low your standards must be. Plod will get him at some point.
