Brexit, Hard Or Soft?
Do you personally want a hard brexit? A soft brexit? Or is there a middle ground brexit I like to call the //goldilocks brexit// which would be the nice creamy middle drawing pros from hard and soft with hardly any of the cons?

1. The EU interferes too much with daily life:
a. I can't buy wood preservative (namely, creosote) that actually preserves wood.
b. I can't buy sodium chlorate, which I regard as a good weed killer.
c. I can't buy incandescent light bulbs any more.
2. The EU wants to have its own army, as if it were a sovereign state.
3. The EU wants to have its own anthem, as if it were a sovereign state.
I voted No in the 1970's, and nothing that has happened since has made me change my mind. All I want now is a sharp knife to cut the rope that binds us to the EU.

// I can't buy sodium chlorate, which I regard as a good weed killer. //
mix it with sugar and it makes a good bang-bang
bang bang chicken ? no the other bang bang.
Anyone remember Colin Jordan ? British Nazi in the early sixties.
his home was raided and they found said NaClO4 with sugar and he had relabelled Weed Killer - "Jaw Killer".
disgusting - caused public outrage.
why did I post this - well it is odd what a 10 y old remembers and also that chlorate may have been banned not because the Eurocrats are humourless interfering party poopers but on safety grounds

The EU has its good points, and I do believe we need a good relationship with Western Europe, but we (and other members) allowed it to grow into the monster it is today. So, although I voted Remain, I won't grieve too much when we Leave.
We can then develop a trading relationship with them to stave off the undoubtedly approaching venomous trade wars attacks by China, and the Russo-US alliance.

Hard, very hard. The EU has become an undemocratic monster with only one aim, which is to eliminate nations and subsume them into a United States of Europe. Anyone doubting this only needs to look at the map they had as the project end (easily available at the time and there was a copy in Parliament - it converted a lot of 'don't knows' I knew). Kent would be part of the Trans-Manche area with the regional capital at Calais. My area of coastal East Riding of Yorkshire was to be part of the North-Sea Region with Denmark.
Friendly relations yes; treaties yes; part of it.....where's my handbag?

Soft/hard Brexit are vague terms. Ideally we want the EU to have a revelation, to convert to rational thinking and agree a deal that's acceptable and beneficial to both sides: but they're focused in controlling all and sundry regardless of the cost to either side, so the chances are the best we can get is a clean WTO break, and hope their successors have more sense. Hope for the revelation, expect the clean break.
