Hammond needs to follow May out through the door and quickly.

At least Sajid gets it.

the 'getting it' means a P45
and a premier place in the dole queue is it ?
I don't quite understand what you mean, Peter.

Mr Javid is not advocating that those from the EU already working here will be dismissed from their jobs. What he is suggesting is that post-Brexit the same rules should apply to people seeking to enter the UK from the EU as they do to those entering from elsewhere.

At present the system is extremely discriminatory in that the EU's freedom of movement legislation means that those from the EU are not subject to scrutiny by the UK immigration authorities. We have no option but to allow them entry and settlement. There is no reason why this should continue simply to encourage the EU to reach an agreeable Brexit settlement. Unfettered immigration (and all its effects) was one of the principle reasons why many people voted Leave. To provide "priority" for migrants from the EU (which will almost certainly mean freedom of movement by another name) is not meeting the wishes of the electorate.
Hammond has always been a rabid Remainer who has tried to put a spanner in the works on past occasions. He should go.
Agree, Hammond should go - and fast...……….. but she won't do it; he's part of her inner cabal.
Are these the people we’re trusting to run everything, rather than the EU?
Ignoring his interference in Brexit, he is not a bad chancellor.
Hammond is quoted as saying the free movement post brexit will help the German economy, isn't he supposed to be a British chancellor ?
He is a Europhile.
danny, I thought that but could not spell it.
"Are these the people we’re trusting to run everything, rather than the EU?"

That's getting a bit tiresome, Zacs.

You must surely realise by now that many people would like to have people in charge whom they can dismiss from time to time (however inept they may be) than have in charge people who are appointed by nobody in particular and over whom they have no control whatsoever.

You may not agree with that or be able to understand it but to continually raise the same question is somewhat pointless because I believe you already know the answer and the rationale behind it.
ZM 14.56, have to agree with you.
^ hahahahaha...so which one of you two is the tail ?..
NJ. I will continually make the point every time the Govt and its MPs are criticised. Hopefully the point will sink in.....eventually.

I’ve told you before....there isn’t a group of wholesome people waiting in the wings to become MPs so the ‘lets Vote them out’ argument doesn’t wash.
But I think you knew that.
// there isn’t a group of wholesome people waiting in the wings to become MPs so the ‘lets Vote them out’ argument doesn’t wash.//

yeah but no but as I’ve told you before....

there IS a group of wholesome people waiting in the wings to screw Brexit up more than you would beleive possible.
Happy dole queue everyone
Yeah, I think by virtue of the fact that you’ve reiterated the premise of all leave voter’s arguments.........we knew that.
