“So a cycle race is more important than farmers' livelihoods. Good oh”

If you think they're bad when they're protesting, wait until you see them when they're revolting.”
Looks like their daily routine is wake up, have breakfast, tend to crops&animals then revolt, protest, riot then come home to some wine a Brie filled baguette then repeat again tomorrow.

//And you know that because you have personal experience? //
my parents live in Perpignan, in my travels back and forth I have plenty of experience of the regular (in)activity of the authorities when protests are in full swing. it just seems so odd that they should take such a proactive stance when the "tour de france" is involved, unless they were ordered to. on that basis to some, the race takes priority. for the public, a protest just has to be endured with lots of shrugging and the certainty it'll be finished before le weekend.
