Tearaway doesn't go far enough to describe such nasty behaviour. What sorts of attitudes at home are influencing these young people?

This is not an inner city, this is not the East End of London......this is Bury St Edmunds, this "royal throne of Kings, this scepterd isle."

Disorder, disobedience and public order incidents are spreading across the countryside.

A violent society IS becoming worse and it seems to be out of control.

What is the cause? Many causes, but at the head is indiscipline, lack of respect a penal system that is inadequate and cannot cope.

The answer? I have no idea, as this is the archetypal tanker that cannot be controlled and is on a head on collision.
Corporal punishment at home and at school when necessary should be reinstated as it abolition in the 80's has had little or no effect in my opinion.
Another contentious issue is National Service which should be re-implemented.
