This is a little rich coming from a party that is embroiled in an antisemitism row.

The words "own" and "backyard" spring to mind....!
This from a man who said in 2010 about "going back to the 1980's to assassinate Thatcher", who suggested that IRA terrorists "should be honoured" and that it was the "bombs and bullets and sacrifice" that led to peace talks.

This cheerleader of terrorism is the personification of hypocrisy.
The way to oppose the far right is by showing that their arguments are wrong. Organisations like the ANL as I recall were full of extremists on the other side and I am sure I remember street conflicts as one side lined up against the other. We don’t need that again.
McDonnell is a dangerous man - in more ways than one.
You can only ban the far right if you ban the far left. But what dort of democracy(doubt McDonnel cares about democracy) is that?
As said above this man is very dangerous.
I question his entire agenda. What’s he doing? Raising the McDonnell army in preparation? Come on, comrades! To the revolution!

Not so youngmafbog, they have already banned one far-right group, but I am unaware that they have banned any far-left groups.
I don’t think McDonnell wants to ban anyone. He seems to want to encourage extremism. We already have bodies that oppose the menace of the far right and they don’t go under confrontational ‘anti-something’ names. Set up a modern ANL and I guarantee you’d see an increase in membership in the groups they were set up to oppose
//they have already banned one far-right group//
Why did they ban that particular group?

Well, ANTIFA does!
ANTIFA sounds like they were on the way to call it something else and chickened our halfway through :-)
Yes !
