The reaction of the British Government was muted. Friends of Israel in the main parties were successful in stiffling any condemnation of the Israeli army.
Of course lobbying against supporters of the Israeli action in Gaza is not anti semitic. Many Jewish people condemned the then Israeli Government for the Gaza massacres.

I don’t see a call for a rejection of any non-Jewish ‘Friends of Israel’ and they do exist within the Labour Party. This is aimed specifically at Jews and therefore there is no excuse. It is anti-Semitic.
