Luckily this savage won't be carrying out any more attacks, one could say "justice has been carried out".

AOG - // And carried out in the name of Islam. //
It is unfair to blame an entire faith for the actions of one mentally unbalanced person who claims to act on its behalf.
Should your OP have read 'An Islamist strikes again.' which would not set the knee-jerkers on here knee-jerking with quite the same intensity, but sometimes one has to sacrifice sensationalism for the sake of accuracy.

I agree it is certainly unfair, but is it reasonable?
With all the past attacks and atrocities made in the name of Islam, one can understand the human reaction of blaming the entire faith, fairness not considered.

It's not fair, nor is it reasonable.
It's this kind of ignorant knee-jerk nonsense that leads to prejudice and exacerbates these situations.

The only knee-jerking going on is that here that says ‘You can’t blame an entire faith’ – the same old knee-jerk reaction we hear every time these madmen carry out their slaughter. You have to blame the faith. The faith is the source of this appalling mentality. This man came from an area renowned for harbouring extremists and he didn’t just kill his mother and sister, he attacked and seriously injured a passer-by too. Furthermore he was known to the security services and was already on a list of suspected religious and political extremists, Just a poor mentality disturbed person he was not.
Prejudiced me? Indeed I am. I really don’t like jihadists.
I think it’s possible his mother and sister knew what he was about to do and tried to stop him – but I’m guessing.

No - the faith is the excuse for this appalling mentality, which is not the same thing at all.
People who like killing people, whether through mental illness, or simply because they are born bad, can always find an excuse on which to hang their hidious mind-set. If Islam did not exist, they could use the Mickey Mouse Club, the 'cause' doesn't matter.
I have said before, but I think it bears repeating, if you enjoy hurting and killing total strangers, or even members of your own family, it's easier to look in the mirror and say "I am doing this in the name of Islam ..." because the alternative is to say "I an irredeemably horrible human being, and the human race will be better when I am dead ..." which is actually the truth.

Poor - no, the mentally ill do not need our pity, but we have to say that anyone who behaves like this is clearly mentally disturbed.
That is not all he was - he was an irredeemably horrible human being and the human race is better off now he's dead - but his actions may have stemmed from a psychotic persoanlity, and he just happened to find a trendy 'faith' cause to hang his psychosis on.
