If Britain caved in and there was no Dunkirk spirit then the Eastern front may well have had a different campaign result. Where did the Russians get British built Hurricane fighters plus the war material sent via Murmansk convoys from? The Germans overstretche d themselves by fighting on too many fronts and the British people made that happen.

/// AOG, have you not seen the documentaries such as "The Longest Day" and "Patton"? ///
They were not documentaries, they were American war films and yes I have seen them.
Having living through WW2, I don't think that the people these days would react the same as they did in 1939, in those days people lived in much closer knit society, these days people hardly know their next door neighbours names.
Even the governments are different, today one is expected to pay for an ID card if they were introduced, back then you got them for free the same as one's gas mask and steel Anderson shelter.
Today's people panic if their local supermarket is about to close, I don't know how they would manage with Food and Sweet rationing or the news that the ships bringing in much wanted food had been sunk in the Atlantic?
