I agree, making the Burka compulsory would stop all these misogynistic gestures irrelevant so that one wouldn't be able to see or investigate the feminine attractiveness. Good idea.

the article is about misogny? what's that got to do with wearing a burka?

Amazing!

The story in the link is about legislation regarding the proper treatment of women, and your suggestion is that they are covered up!

If this is your idea of sarcasm - based on your very well-known position on all things Islamic, it is not likely to be seen as such.

As a serious issue, flippancy is inappropriate, and if you are serious, then you are perpetuatuing the attitudes that women are at fault for men's bad behaviour.

Either way, your OP is poorly worded in my view.
HOW did you get a Burqa mention out of this story?? That is desperation at its finest.
You'd need a camera on a very long stick to 'upskirt' a burqa!

I do agree that suggesting that if a woman is out late at night, that its somehow her fault if she is harrassed or attacked is the thin edge of the wedge. Do "reclain the night" walks still happen? I am sort of unsure though about a crime of misogyny....so if a woman is bullied by being upskirted by another woman, is that still illegal? If a gay man is whistled after by men, is that illegal? I think there is a strong argument for making "umbrella" bullying and harassment crimes so there is less need to pick through to decide whether the law has been broken or not. I keep saying this but there should only be one crime, that of bad manners.....theft, fraud, bullying, violence, murder.....they all start with bad manners.

Would it not just be easier to castrate all men? And only leave a small percentage of prime stock to use for breeding?

Blimey andy-hughes, have you read this one? Perhaps you have something to say regarding this suggestion.

What is wrong with a tongue in cheek OP. It seems it is now not appropriate to flatter a person without it being misconstrued. I blame Germaine Greer, lol.

Problem is.......she MEANS it.
The remaining "prime stock" would undoubtedly be fussy who they sired with.

Have you forgotten to use the wink ;-) symbol here, AOG?

I do hope so.
