Electricity and Gas prices to be held at a maximum as of today, for the vulnerable in society. However, it still can go up if the price of utilities raw products increase - I hate to be a pedant but that isn't a cap, Mr Clark or Mr. Nolan.......

I pay in significantly more than I will ever ever use and I find it completely unjust that I am required to fund the lives of other people. With Privatisation the Government relinquished any control over the commercial interests of the new companies who took over our utilities. Basically they could charge whatever extortionate prices they wanted - and they did.
Talk of capping these companies ability to levy their own rates is an admissilon that ‘Privatision’ has completely failed.
