Then you'd better tell your friends in Brussels. The entire European Project is about homogenisation and the dissolution of nation states. It's mantra is "only one size available (whether it fits or not)". One set of rules (regardless of their relevance or appropriateness to each nation); one currency (regardless of its suitability); one central bank, one tax regime; one army; one foreign ministry. The list goes on. Those seeking diversity need not apply.

You could say that, Khandro, but that's not what you wrote. And NJ did have a problem, that's why he wrote 'The entire European Project is about homogenisation', because your post inferred that you thought the EU had diversity. You mentioned nothing about individual countries. Anyhow, now that you've clarified, yes, I do believe it is imaginary but I also believe the homogenisation isn't happening at all. Apart from the Euro, I can see no impact of the EU (or it's policies) on any nations culture. The internet and cheap travel have done far more to homogenise countries than the EU.
Your opinion that my argument is weakened because I want the person who started the thread to man-up and tell me how the EU is homogenising our daily lives, Himself is childish.
How about you having a crack at answering my question, or would that disturb your nit-picking, self aggrandising enjoyment of this website which becomes ever more tiresome by the day?

Crikey! If that’s what I get for offering a rational observation, I dread to think what your response would be if I actually voiced an opinion contrary to your own.
