This has to be one of the worst joke sentences I have ever seen. Except it is not funny.
15 years for murder with an axe and samurai sword .
Absolute savage should never see the light of day.

But apart from the most serious cases, that doesn’t mean life in prison.
Instead, most people have to serve a minimum term in prison, which is determined by the judge in court after they’re found guilty.
Once that term is over they can be considered for release on parole, if the Parole Board decides that it is safe to release an offender back into the community.
If the circumstances are serious enough, a ‘whole life order’ is imposed by a judge, meaning that the offender will never be released from prison and cannot be considered for parole. At the moment there are 59 prisoners serving whole life sentences in prison.

>He hasn’t been given 15 years. He’s been sentenced to life imprisonment.
yes he has been given life but with a minimum of 15 years. So could be life (unlikely) 50 years , 30 years or as low as 15 years. I'm not sure why the minimum figure is so low though- maybe 25-30 should be the minimum. Hopefully it wil be longer

Braithwaite told a 999 operator that his motive for the attack was that he was unhappy with his own life and wanted to be arrested. He also claimed he was too scared to commit suicide.
The court heard he planned the murder her the night before as he was laying in bed.
After his arrest Braithwaite told police: 'I wanted to kill her without distress.
'I wanted her dead so that i could have a life. But I didn't want to kill her in any psychotic way.'
An absolute animal, perfect candidate for death penalty.

Life in the UK has not become cheap.
If it had, these stories wouldn’t make the papers.
Furthermore, he been sentenced for A MINIMUM of 15 years in prison but when murderers are released, they still have to serve their sentence ‘on licence’ for the rest of their lives.
This means they are placed under the supervision of probation officers and must stick to certain conditions for good behaviour.
In practice that means potential restrictions on travel, residence and employment - these vary depending on the case.
If they breach the terms of their licence, they will be sent back to prison.
Not spin - just fact

Stabbings have happened for millennia. As the population grows, so does the percentage of 'rougue' elements. With a growth in population comes a concentration of people in certain areas creating tensions and pressures leading to violent events.
Life is no cheaper than at other points throughout history.

I was simply presenting you with sentencing guidelines.
Arguably Fred and Rose West, Harold Shipman and Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale committed more heinous crimes, but as I have said before apart from the from itself, the judge is tasked with assessing how the defendant pleads and extenuating circumstances we’re not privy to.

A couple of cadavers a week being mopped up per week in selected areas of certain London boroughs. This level of violence is not been occurring historically. The level is a recent phenonema and the reasons for perpetrating these atrocities are trite. Life is regarded as cheap by certain groups in the Metropolis.
If it has always happened can you suggest why suddenly people are attempting to score political points by blaming Khan, the Prime Minister and any one else for all this slaughter .
Spin it how you will this is a recent trend perpetrated by the same group of people who regard their own ego as more important than human life.

I'm not 'spinning' anything.
'If it has always happened can you suggest why suddenly people are attempting to score political points by blaming Khan, the Prime Minister and any one else for all this slaughter'
Because in the middle ages or in the midst of the industrial revolution (prime examples of when life was cheap), people didn't have the freedom of speech to express themselves nor the internet platforms on which to do it.

/// The 'So' Rule - here again in all its glory!!! ///
In an early thread you stated that it was an unwritten rule that one did not point out spelling mistakes.
So can we also make it an unwritten rule not to point out that stupid 'SO' rule of yours.
See how it gets folk's backs up, with no contribution whatsoever to the subject in hand?
