I know who's side I'm on but I'll wait and see which way the thread goes.

You know ... as passionate as we can all get about something, it doesn't change a thing. Mere words on a page. Go and dunk a hobnob.

I know full well you have children.

this was a CHILD - they don't think and act and 'up the ante' as adults do.

But that statement tells me you really have no idea what you are talking about.
Hob a nob a nob a nob.

This is what happens when LaLaLand bumps into reality.
Andy-Hughes,
May I remind you of a post you made some time ago which has mysteriously disappeared.
You claim that you are so capable of understanding children and reasoning with them to reach an understanding without the need for so called violence.
I have never felt the need to abandon one of my children to the streets because my wife and I could not handle their behaviour in our family home. That would amount to something worse than a correctional slap for indiscipline. That would amount to leaving my child to the dangers and abuse of any one out there to make prey of them.
I couldn't do that. Could you?

Posts disappear all the time, for all sorts of reasons, but never 'mysteriously'.

Absolutely not.
'mon the driver!
And we're back on track!
FGS...Do we keep notes or something?
Some people do - the insecure sad ones.
No one is going to agree on this subject.

Also...no one should assume men who don't hit out are wimps. They are men who have control of their tempers! Don't push them though as you'll be laying on the tarmac!

Yep, it was thanks to the drivers quick reactions that the kid wasn’t left dead on the tarmac.

Well done that man!
Well done for his driving skills. And there it ends.
Think the fact the buss drover lashed out with a smack proves his un professional attitude, his immature "i need to win" character and his hidden aggression. Nothing to be proud of, embarrassed more like.
//Well done for his driving skills. And there it ends.//

Indeed , that's where it should have ended .

There have been numerous occasions since i started driving , when a kid has run out in front of my vehicle .
After the initial shock of what could have happened - came the relief that there was no contact .

I have never felt any need to leave my vehicle and go and smack said kid and would not do so whether or not said kid gave me a mouthful .

The bus driver lost it
The buss driver is a complete loony
" the bus driver is a complete looney" Well, there we go, a very mature post on a very serious thread .
Someone needs a good slap and it isn't the bus driver or the cheeky kid.
I'm being serious. I seriously think the driver is a loony. I got a buss to school. If the driver ever got off the buss then i'd think he's mental, if he then assaulted a child then my oh my would i be getting off the buss and ringing the police no matter if the child was playing chicken in the road.

Others on the thread have articulated it better, but my opinion is serious, and it stands.
Who needs the slap snags ?
