Presumably to make it easier for Agent COB's brown shirts to get rid of moderates.

They basically wanted compulsory appraisals for all MPs. Which in theory is a good idea but should surely be a matter for constituents generally.
Then up got party chairman Ian Lavery, embezzler and ex football hooligan. And I thought: is this what labour has become?
I’d have more time for labour in its current form were it not so self obsessed. It’s a party for its members only largely. Tho actually it’s probably not alone in that :-)

You can always tell when the Cons on here are running scared, and wetting themselves with Fright. [ when every other post is attacking the Opposition].
The party that really really needs to get their own house in order first before trying to ridicule others is The Conservative Party, what a shambles.

As you say TTT it does make it much easier to get shot of the moderates.
In some ways you could understand this, after all who wants people in the party who dont toe the line? However when it is people like Tom Watson they want rid of you really do have to question where the labour, sorry New communist, Party will end up.
I am pretty sure we will see The British Labour Party or similar start up soon.

Celtigra, Douglas Adams had it about right, I think -
“The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.
To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”
