My Mrs,currently in Frisco sent me a few pictures of real men she encountered in a public plaza.Three geriatric high fiving "real US men" wearing trainers,socks, a red beret, and nothing else. I am equal to him in every respect Tambo and indeed happy to pay my way but there are ways and means, at the moment he looks after me because he's better placed to because at the moment I can't work, on other occasions I would be happy to look after him. there's nothing unequal about not being equal all the time exactly, it's the ethos and intention that's important and we are equal.
what do you mean Tambo 'because is no reason to drop feminist beliefs'? I'm not dropping any feminist beliefs at all, this is one equal human to another in an equal partnership, or would you not look after your partner if he was ill because he's a man and you're a woman? I'm not sure what you're driving at exactly? It's impossible for people to be absolutely equal in everything they do every day, sure you can see that, whatever sex they are?
What goes on your birth certificate is your sex, not your gender. I'm comfortable with the idea that there are very few sexes (classically two, male and female) and many genders (somewhere between several and infinite).
Given this, what confuses me is ... well, let's just keep it simple and consider public toilets as being a representative example of the problem. Do the signs on the outside of the toilets refer to your sex or your gender? I think given what I wrote in the paragraph above that they can only sensibly refer to your sex, given the infrastructure of current society.
The question then becomes: should we change the infrastructure? E.g. by making all facilities what's called "gender neutral."

gotta be careful here - ok, those humans born with a "x-x" configuration are naturally not as strong as those born with "x-y" as theirs.
