Her concern was aroused not by their behaviour, but by the skin colour of the adult - that's racism almost by definition.

One thing that is almost universal is that child abductors in the America tend to stick within their own racial boundaries.
A black man abducting white children would be highly unusual. That would be the fist thing that comes to mind.
Secondly, there would be the children’s behaviour in from of their babysitter. Without knowing more - were the children distressed, anxious?
Finally and perhaps, most pertinently - how many abductors take their abductees to their local supermarket, what with all the CCTVs and stuff?
I think we can safely chalk this up to racism mixed with a smattering of stupidity.

That's fine, as long as the lady challenges every white man she sees with white children. They are equally at risk - or not.
But her decision was motivated by the notion that a black man with white children must be up to no good.
That's racism.

After reading SP's post i have to agree. No one would go to a supermarket with stolen children. Also the behaviour of the children are something to take into concern.
The woman who reported the situation had balls i can tell you that. I would not have in fear of being called a racist, but in reality, this man was not the father of the children so she was right in one aspect.

Additionally, hundreds of thousands of white American kids have Latino maids in their households.
Should they too be stopped and questioned in case they’re in their way to Peurto Rico to exchange the kids for bags of rice?

And there was me thinking this was a serious discussion.
