Targeted advertising is everywhere and has its uses but I think it can be taken too far and this is an example of that.

Viewers can change their tastes from what they have viewed in the past, algorithms don't always allow for that.
It's in the name of profit - the wider demographic you can pick up, the more money you can make.

Some people will discern a race attitude in this marketing, but it's nothing like that subtle - it's about money, because it's always about money.
Another example of people being outraged over nothing.

The number of adverts nowadays that show a mixed race couple has increased significantly over the years - the aim is to appeal to all.

As has been said it is purely sales-driven. That is the only thing that can be read into it.

If people read anything else into it, it says more about them.
AH is right on it. Money pure and simple.
Blacks should be grateful they live or born in this country, rather than some African stholie.
Just look at the problems their bruvvers ave?
How do they know what the ethnic background of the person watching is?

Agree with everyone else though. It is all about sales and the more sales you make the more money you make.

Not everything is about your sensibilities. Not everything is done to outrage. Not everything is done with you, your ethnic, religious or sexual background in mind. Sometimes it’s just a marketing tool.
I'm sick of hearing about diversity. Every time someone on TV starts going on about it I switch off.
Cassa, they don't.

//Netflix denied any wrongdoing. A spokesman said: ‘We don’t ask members for their race, gender or ethnicity so we cannot use this information to personalise their individual Netflix experience.

'The only information we use is a member’s viewing history.’//
