Where is this less violent more tolerant society that certain ABers tell us exists.
This is a shocking example of a 77 year old black woman being racially abused and the airline staff doing little to quell the issue.
Th man should have been ejected off the plane immediately.

I think though, outing him as a racist was a pointless exercise because I doubt he cares and acts like this all the time.
I was very surprised at the calmness and lack of intervention of the other passengers.

Another video on the DM of a similar (presumably different) man shouting angrily at security guards in Sainsburys.

Removing him from the plane (and possibly his luggage), would have delayed the flight and caused misery and problems for all the passengers.
The lady should have been gently moved safely away from this odious creature in case he became violent.
The airline would have his name and passport details and they should be passed on to all other carriers to ban him from flying again.

He was the one in the wrong not her so she should have been allowed to stay in her seat and he should have been removed from his. He has been rewarded for his rude and unacceptable behaviour by getting what he wanted. Horrible disgusting excuse for a man.
Other passengers did intervene, particularly the chap sitting behind them.

If he was drunk they would have delayed the flight to remove him and his luggage. Its happened before

It does bring to mind the apocryphal story of a passenger who makes loud protest at being seated next a Hasidic Jew. The cabin crew visit the cockpit, and then speak to the two passengers - "The captain has apologised for this disgraceful circumstance, and has offered you an upgrade to First Class free of charge." The angry passenger makes to move to the front of the plane and is advised that it is actually the Jewish passenger who is being re-located. "There must be some mistake!" blusters the bigot. "Oh no sir," says the cabin crew member smiling sweetly, "Captain Cohen doesn't make mistakes like that."
This answers my post. The aircraft was registered in Dublin but as not in flight the incident could only be dealt with by Guarda Civil at Barcelona. Incident described as a "spectacular failure" by Ryan Air.
