// In an article in the Sunday Times, a Tory backbencher was quoted as saying: "The moment is coming when the knife gets heated, stuck in her front and twisted. She'll be dead soon."

The PM was also told to "bring her own noose" to a meeting later this week.

One MP asked: "Have they learned nothing following the assassination of Jo Cox?" //

Is this really the kind of language we expect from our politicians?

Can we not use "hurty" words against the genuflecting remoaners? Beware the Ides of March. Meehh.
why bring Jo Cox into this, assassination? i thought it was a murder.

A Downing Street spokesman remarking “Personal vitriol has no place in our politics”???

Haha. Stop it.

Much of the condemnation has focused on the fact that Britain’s Prime Minister is female and should be insulated from the rougher moments of leading a nation.(Just like darling Margaret?)
If she needs protection from words then she just needs to pick up her dollies and go home and play house.

Newspeak 1984.?

Utterly disgraceful behaviour from a terrorist sympathiser who has divided the Labour Party like no other leader ever has.
The OP headline is massively misleading.
Agree Chill....
What have Labour done this time?
Oh sorry, didn’t realise the OP was under the misguided apprehension that the Conservative was the nasty party.

I just sort of assumed everyone knew that honour is reserved for Labour.
Good Heavens! Fuss about nothing. If it hadn't been for poor Jo Cox everyone would have recognised metaphorical hyperbole. 'Stabbing someone in the Back' is perfectly well known. Not a big deal.

I was always taught 'Sticks and stones may break my bones - mere names will never hurt me'. I have no problem with this. People are frustrated, words will be said. NOTE words, not deeds.
‘The nasty party’ was the term coined by Theresa May herself some years ago for her own party. Hence its use by all sorts of people ever since. Some might say she made a noose for herself when she said it ...
