The Donald Declares A National Emergency
The US Army is mobilised. Is this an over reaction or does he have his country's interest at heart?

Always some who want to shoot the messenger.
The Federales seem unable to stop the caravan, as it is called, from trundling North or perhaps they are happy to just let it keep trundling as long as it doesn't stop in Mehiko.
It will be interesting what instructions have been issued to the US military to protect their boarders should the caravan set up camp there.

"Is this an over reaction..."
Certainly not. It seems the US faces an invasion of some seven or eight thousand people. To do nothing when posed with such a threat would be irresponsible. Mr Trump is taking his responsibilities seriously by planning to keep the invaders out rather than deal with them after they have arrived - in total contrast to European leaders when faced with the same problem.

If only we had been alert to the illegal immigrants that were waved through the various EUSSR member Countries and waved towards Britain with a nod and a chuckle. The Frogs even let them use public transport, without payment, to hasten them to the "transit" pinch points and then demanded that we paid for their upkeep and wellbeing whilst they waited to hi-jack a vehicle bound for our Country. Strange thing is the World's chaff that aim to get to the US, and before that to Britain, openly express hatred and voice condemnation of our societies but still cherish them as the "place" to be. Funny old World.
//But what exactly will the army do physically to prevent this mob from entering the US?//

The 50 million dollar question.
That is what I want to know. May be lessons will be learnt. Interesting times as they say.
This question arose on AB a year or so about Calais immigrants storming through the Channel Tunnel.
