/// AOG - History on the section shows that you show considerable interest and concern in what you rather unfortunately term 'black on black' violence. ///
This is why many including yourself it would seem, shy away from what is taking place on our streets. //
I don't 'shy away' from anything - please don't equate my absence of your obsession with race and religion, which you exhibit on here on a daily basis, with a lack of either interest or concern.
// Why do you state that it is unfortunate that I term it, 'black on black' violence, because that is precisely what it is and this is why the media or the police seem reluctant to tell it how it is. //
Because I believe it to be a media-created inappropriate label that seeks to put crimes into neat boxes based on race alone, ignoring the myriad other factors involved.
// Only on a radio talk-in last night a caller phoned in and asked why the black community was not demanding action, well the radio presenter nearly chocked and repeatedly asked the caller, "why do you call it the black community"? It would seem from this that one dare not mention the word black these days. //
Mentioning the word 'black' is fine - using it to define a sub-species of society and then routinely lay the ills of society at its door, is not.
/// However, comparing one situation with another in the hope that an appropriate comparison can be made is futile. ///
// Only in your eyes it would seem, the whole point of my thread is asking why there is a different approach between the two, a quite appropriate question to ask. //
Not judging my some of the responses you have received, and appear willing to ignore.
You asked a question, I gave you a considered response - if you don't like it, that's fine, but delving into the minutia of what I posted in order to pick fault is not going to repudiate the truth of what I said.
