i was referring to my DM link, it showed the man wielding the knife lots of times, thought perhaps it might be to graphic to watch. Especially as you can see one officer take aim and fire, or that is what it looks like.

Last week on the thread --'Should hanging be brought back?' Not many abers were in favour. It's wrong , uncivilized, barbaric.! Had this man been wounded and hauled before the courts would they be saying the same? Because he has been killed on the street it's Ok ,good riddance, what he deserves etc. etc. What's the difference?

Rabid dogs however don't get the luxury of being placed in kennels and having their future mulled over. As you said ,Emmie, they are killed . This swine ,had he lived, would have been taken to trial and no doubt declared 'mentally unstable, put away for life and looked after for the rest of his days. Together with all the other murderers.Thank goodness he was shot and killed.

I tend to post and then have a look at other efforts - at least 90% is 'dat troo dat?' along with "foo! dat not troo!" so I have a one in ten chance of being pre-empted, or missing something interesting like yours

10 Nov 2018 is the first time I have seen a photo in the paper of someone actually at the moment they were shot.

usually the dead man is lying flat and pixellated.

I wondered if there were a political statement in that " I wouldnt show a dog being run over but as it is an asian terrorist - perhaps it will put the rest off a little and can hardly be called in poort taste"

The last time I recollect is the Viet general shooting the supposed spy in the head 1969 on the street. Yeah 50 y ago.

oh perhaps the rifleman in Homage in Catalonia - 80 y ago - but that is probably faked. ( he turns up later in the roll eating his lunch - but there is doubt that that roll is the very initial one )

o god I wish people didnt post like this - in the glorious days of Empire it was possible in the middle of nowhere to get bitten by a dog. So you dont beat it to death .... you tie it up ( well get a servant to do so) and feed it for ten days - - - and if it is still alive by then - then it didnt have rabies

the other thing was - was the dog attack unprovoked ?
