“There are always Are there? Let’s keep it simple and just consider just one of my requirements at a time (because I realise all my wishes cannot be accommodated). I’d like a government that will achieve a proper Brexit – nothing complex, just one that will see us regain control of our borders, money, trade and laws (i.e. just like any...

yep good ole Labour, anti Semitites, drug dealers, terrorist lovers, make you wonder how anyone could support them doesn't it.
He had to make up the shortfall in his income somehow.
Wasn’t this done the other day?

Should be done every day.
No need to guess his particular persuasion.
Labour is always a less than ideal choice for a government. Leaving aside for a minute the increased unsuitability of the current lot of ne'eredowells, chancers, communists and Marxists, the electorate has a problem. They have nobody else to vote for. The current Conservative & Unionist party is as keen on conservation (of the electorate's wealth) as was the last Labour lot and shows as much sign of preserving the Union (under its Brexist Plans) as would Gerry Adams.

Conservative leaders are becoming like US Presidents. You always think that the next one cannot possibly be any worse than the last. Until they are elected, that is.
you'll just have to vote May back in, then.
NJ is correct. For nigh on 30 years the Tories have not had a decent leader and the one they did have was knifed in the back, much like Julius Caesar.
no choice at all jno, that's the problem, can't vote Labour for the reasons regularly highlighted, can't vote limp dums, full of TROB VB luvvies. So as much as I am disappointed with Treason May and the cons I have no real choice.
zacs yes it was, i suggested the son gets jail time, but he got off with community service i believe.
I have no real choice

you sound like a trade union leader saying "We have no choice but to strike". There are always choices, you just hate making them so you blame someone else.

The last election, there was a choice between a party led by a Remainer and a party led by a Quitter. So here we are.
ok jno what are my choices then?
I'm a conservative who has had nobody to vote for for over fifty years. Brief interludeThatcher, before she went mad. But didn't vote for her either
A single No-hopers party of Peter Hitchens and VE.

Not your obvious and best dinner guests, are they?
In the end I just vote for the ones I think will do least damage. Sad state of affairs.
Sorry, I would like to be in the ame party as Roger Scruton.

(Boo, hiss)
no idea, TTT, but the list of candidates in your constituency is no doubt still online somewhere.

But if you voted for the party led by the unenthusiastic and barely competent remainer, then you've got exactly what you voted for.
It is ever more doubtful that May will survive to the next election.
A brief reminder of civilisation befote the age of "Enlightenment" is replaced by third-world ignorance:

PS: not the same version which Khndro excoriated for its poor orchestration.
