My 15yr old DD is on the spectrum. She has Aspergers Syndrome and I know that every minute of every day she struggles with social interactions. Going so far as to hide from a fellow scout (who was bag packing at the supermarket) whom she sits next to in half her classes. She knows him but couldn’t bring herself to even acknowledge him because he was out of context.
Her alienation is such that she hides from people and I know that should someone show her ‘friendship’ she would try and fit in with them. It is actually quite frightening for her future to think that.

So, i find it quite odd that, of the 18 youngsters who believe they are in the wrong body, 9 are autistic with the others borderline. And, the Mail's research team have done an excellent job publishing a photograph of David Davis instead of David Davies!
The ideologues exploit adolescent confusions (VE: been there, done that - the confused adolescent bit I mean, not the exploitative ideologue) and will damage their prey, sometimes temporarily as in the laboratory rats end up working out that they are after all a girl or a boy as their biology suggests , but sometimes permanently as in they have been physically experimented on as in the Island of Dr Moreau.
how insulting to reprove dear Nigh ( bless !) for introducing The Famour Five !
can we have more decorum on this thread please ( as dear Mr Trump was only saying er in a different context yesterday)
I think quite a lot of the questions have been raised
special school - over loaded with autism - no doctor in sight - drugs taken without medical supervision - teacher gone public without evidence of exhausting local remedies. - some odd points
or facts that need to be checked ....

you're the one being admired Nigh
enjoy the moment whilst it lasts
meanwhile back at the school ... since this is not about Nigh or me - no matter how much we might like it
is it in the interests of the teenagers to make such a public claim without details of what she has done ( to exhaust local remedies)
