Stupid Gamblers !
24 Answers
So the boss of Bet365 the "online betting company "earned" 265 MILLION pounds last year.
This 48 million MORE than she "earned" last year.
Of course this is all paid for by the huge losses made by most of the silly people who gamble.
So I hope you gamblers who next bemoan the fact your bet did not come in just remember you are helping to pay this ladies huge salary.
We can all see who the stupid ones are in this arrangement, and it is not this lady or the others who help run her company

Sadly for the people who have a real gambling addiction it is often the case of going into a huge debt, or losing your family and house, or even taking you own life.
But as long as this lady is doing ok that's the main thing !

People have to grow up and accept responsibility for their actions. There are people, and I know them, who do gamble responsibly and get value for the enjoyment it brings vs the amount paid.

Why is it in the UK that some people hate anyone making money??? She is at least based in the UK and paying UK taxes -unlike a few large corporations ,best not mentioned, but I bet lots of AB users will be going to the site for 'Black Friday' deals, that try and shun there Tax Bills.
People have been betting on horses, going to Casinos and jBingo for years and years. Its legal. Yes people get addicted but they get addicted to all sorts of things. Is anyone going to criticise the CEO of Greggs for their pasty sales, or the CEO of Wetherspoons?

RATTER I totally agree. These adverts showing 'chavs' gambling -while their husbands make a meal or they are in bed - sends out the wrong messages. I am far to 'tight' to gamble save for a couple of squid on the grand national, but the true addicts would be addicts regardless of a ban on TV ads. Its a chicken /egg situation.
Clearly not earned since nothing there has really benefited society. Paid to self for managing to get a wealth extraction company successfully off the ground.
It's legal, but hardly right in any equitable society. Many make a real difference to the community by the effort they put in and won't see that wealth in a lifetime.
Unsure if you think gamblers are addicts or stupid, or both.

i do agree with you guilbert, i also think its somewhat obscene, yes i am sure she pays a lot of tax, and perhaps is charitable in other ways, but i would like to see many of these shops go west. They are often a blight on the nations high streets, in my mothers neck of the woods, in two streets there were 14 of them,
Yes but the point here emmie (sigh) is not high street betting shops, which are bad enough, but ONLINE betting, the special obscenity of bet365.
And on line, as long as you’ve got access to a credit card, there are NO meaningful restrictions on the age or anything else of the poor sap at the other end of the keyboard.
