I would rather be an influential part of a Powerful European Bloc than outside being ignored/sidelined. Britain leaving EU opens it up to German domination, we are their only hope for avoiding it (providing we have a PM with guts).

What is important to understand, is that Merkel was brought up under communism, had no understanding of Western European values, was catapulted into high office in the west shortly after reunification, and remains at heart, a communist!

Merkel is a spent force. As her career slips away, she seems to be saying more and more controversial things in an effort to rekindle her standing. She makes Jimmy Krankie look normal and that’s saying something!

I've learnt over the past 12-18 months that most of Mrs May's promises are quite readily broken and anything she "rejects comprehensively" is soon accepted (together with another few capitulations besides). So she will have to forgive me if, having heard that today she has "made it clear several times" that a second referendum is not to be held, I fully expect on the 8am news tomorrow morning to be told when it will be held.
