I dunno, but which foreign nationals are we going to release to show clemency on, say, the Queens' Birthday?
Poor guy.

Also, i doubt he has a UK prescription or the oil.
He doesn't deserve to die or serve 15 years for being careless. I hope they are able to get him deported.
//Mr Holmes said he had been in Bali for two months before his arrest on 3 December.//

//Doctors have been able to prescribe medicinal cannabis products to patients in the UK since 1 November 1//

So he can’t even claim the drug was obtained on prescription then. Silly man.
Go to a country with very strict laws on drugs/narcotics and get all upset when you get caught out in possession. Tough luck, why have we got to intervene?
3mg or 31kgms (as has been accused), quite simply don't do it or suffer the results.
There's some aloof, arrogant gits around arent there?
Do you mean I have no sympathy or the other person was arrogant to use banned drugs/narcotics?

Your quite right I have no sympathy and I won't be contributing to his crowd funding page. Perhaps you might?
when the consequences are death, for such a mild drug, that's OTT regardless of the laws,
He knew the law, spath. Silly man.
That doesn't mean the punishment fits the crime. Barbaric backwards law.

he wasn't careless kromo...
"A British man who could face the death penalty after he was arrested in Bali for allegedly smuggling cannabis oil has admitted he has been "very stupid"."
""Even though medicinal THC is something so widely accepted elsewhere and it was such a small amount, I foolishly crossed the line in a very strict country."
He knew what he was doing, presumably thought it was ok because it was "medical" usage.
Just illustrates arrogance to me, he knew the rules and hoped that because he did not agree with them that that is somehow an exemption.

Also, he imported 31kg of the stuff! That cannot be for personal use can it?
spath, barbaric or not, he knew the law.
He says only a small amount, the police say 31kg.We do not know who is correct.
If it was 31 KG then that's a different story, it would almost certainly be to sell / shift on. If it's honestly 3G of oil, then it's not a big deal, certainly personal use.

I'm not sure we can just trust every word the balinese authorities say.
Spath, or a drug smuggler, if that turns out to be what he is.
Whatever he is, anyone who goes to another country and deliberately breaks laws they know exist is stupid.
I use cannabis oil and get it mailed. Someone is telling porkes here because my oil comes in 10ml bottles with 1000mg of CBD oil. If he was found with three grams its either one third of a 10 ml bottle or three bottles depending if they are measuring the CBD content or the whole lot with the carrier in.

I find it hard to believe he got 31 kilo of product through the mail That would be about 31,000 bottles -if he did then I have no sympathy for him but I guess something has gone wrong here in translation.
The CBD is redundant, It's THC oil it could be anything from a tincture to shatter to a wax.
The amount is immaterial, he went to a country with strict anti drug laws and then proceeded to attempt to smuggle drugs into the country.
Perhaps he is hoping the UK government will step in and barter for his release. Who knows but either way his is a prat who should serve his sentence.
