I know it was yesterday, but I was busy then, but having worked in cotton mills for a number of years, you become something of a lip reader. I thought that Corbyn clearly said "Stubborn woman".

//he’s been stupid enough to lie about something that’s been caught on camera.//

Has that been proved yet Naomi?

Is that the only difference from other politicians?

Keeping in mind the technology/internet available these days ;-/
You're in for a shock then Spath as in my experience loads of people back-stab to gain position in all walks of life, probably including gardening teams :-)
well i'm basically a one man band, it will never happen.

Also, to the others.. the labour party is moot to my statements. If you wish to know my opinion on them then feel free to ask it.
My apologies Naomi, stuffed up my "copy and paste" @ 09:22

Crickey, I assumed you delegated your minions to carry out the vast majority of your workload whilst you spent every waking hour on here...how on earth do you make any money?
Very much agree that Corbyn is an oaf and quite possibly a deceitful one at that. But were Tory MPs really crowding round the Speaker asking for film footage?? Good grief!
Early bird catches the worm.
To quote Jimmy Barnes, Talbot " He's a working class man"
Ich, they asked for the video following the Speaker stating that he did not know what Corbyn had muttered.
Diane thick as two short ones abbot covers a multitude of ticks
How can he be accused of lying, she is a stupid woman, a stubborn woman and with stupid people behind her!
// But were Tory MPs really crowding round the Speaker asking for film footage?? //

I think they were trying to get him to watch the video, which of course he didn't want to because then he might have had to do something about it.
I’m not standing up for Jeremy Corbyn but I’m of the opinion that obsessing about something he muttered in frustration, unpleasant as it may have been, is a pretty pathetic waste of valuable time.
// pretty pathetic waste of valuable time. //

Completely agree Ich. The place is becoming like a kindergarten.
Ich, a lot of time would have been saved if he had admitted that he said it.
And would they have done it if the object of the remark had been say Diane Abbott? I think not. Then you’d have had Labour MPs doing exactly the same thing: this is simply Punch and Judy party politics (now who coined that phrase I wonder).
That picture reminded me of a bunch of school kids: “Please teacher he called my sister a ***!”
Politicians never seem to learn that's it's not the mistake that is the problem, it's lying about it afterwards.

He should have admitted it and apologised straight away. That would have earned people's respect somewhat. Instead he now looks like a grumpy lying sexist.

Yeah, had someone called Diane Abbott stupid in parliament it would be instantly forgotton...no cries of sexism or racism or even thickism.
Of course he should have admitted it: make him Tory leader I say: he’s done more to unite that party than anyone for a while (!)
But he didn’t, and there are more important issues.
What does it matter if he did say "stupid woman"? Corbyn has been called worse than that in his time and he's right - she is a very stupid woman.
