As title. A man and a woman have were arrested yesterday. Apart from a full jail term, not a 12 month suspended sentence. Should this pair have a lifetime ban from flying on all airlines. Your thoughts.

Maybe there never was a drone. Get 5-10 people to report "sightings". Others trying to be helpful then may think they've seen one and may report a sighting also. It'd be quite a neat way to cause major disruption but never actually do anything that you could be charged for. It would explain why police/army never brought it down.

Yes, we'll have to wait and see whether this was a hoax drone left their after the event. It's the police that have said there may not have beena drone- apparently there was no reliable pictures of one flying over Gatwick.
Have we had the conspiracy theory yet that maybe it was government plot to distract attention from the postponement of the Brexit vote?
