so what exactly would labour's campaign strategy be in an early GE scenario - leave? stay? renegotiate leave? it could be argued that as the opposition they're not required to say - but they could need to concoct a policy faster than the PM needs to rustle up a plan B....

Corbyn doesn't seem to be particularly interested in Brexit other than as a means to gain power. He just keeps repeating calls for a general election. The claim that a different govt would be able to renegotiate a better deal is just nonsense.

Typical opposition call, in the full realisation that no one in the position would be persuaded to call an election as May did last time.

Any new government would have no fresh mandate to negotiate a better withdrawal deal with the EU since time has already run out. They would have a mandate to get us out on the due date and then reopen trade negotiations, if the EU elite were prepared to do so. Or better, spend their time negotiating with the non-EU countries instead.
