I mean let's face it the mans country is being torn apart by rioting (unless you really look for it the MSM does not report it for some odd reason) even after he did the usual French trick of capitulating.

So is he helping your cause or should he keep his garlic hooter out of it?

By about now most people who voice an opinion on Brexit are going to be preaching to the converted. Every time John Major talks about Brexit, for example, it's hard for me not to feel how sensible and well-argued his points are, but I'm going to hazard a guess that for most Brexit supporters the reaction is literally the exact opposite.

So in that sense I can't say I'm overly fussed. Macron's argument this time seemed particularly unpersuasive, to be sure: from what little I saw of it I doubt many Brexiters would have reacted well to it, as it's perhaps just a little too strong, but I don't think it will either help or hinder "my corner".
Let's not get too sidetracked by Trump, N :)

(But, just for the record, I do make a point of trying to listen to what Trump says -- it's just that, after that, I tend to react much as OG did to Macron.)
I rest my case.
You should pick your case back up again and make it in a separate thread -- unless, of course, your case is that we *all* have our biases that are difficult to shed?
I thought you didn't want to get side-tracked,

Back to the subject.
Firstly, having read the whole article, it did not appear to me that he was "(interfering) in the actions of another's country", as he was speaking to French people at a debate in France.

To be honest, I thought he spoke a lot of sense, and summed up the situation very well.
He likes our money - as they all do.
Yo answer the OP. As Paul Daniels would say "not a lot"
jim: "I mean, he *is* the President of one of the two most powerful EU countries" - nice little Anti British dig there jim, not many noticed it, on what level is France more powerful than the UK? economically? Militarily? EU contributions? oh, of course, area! silly me!
Sorry, TTT, I didn't mean it like that at all. The most powerful EU countries are currently Germany, France, and the UK, but I think you'll agree that, since the UK is expected to leave soon, it would be weird to keep it in the list.
Although, as a matter of fact, France contributes more to the EU budget than we do. So does Italy, if it comes to that.

But in any case, I only meant the two most powerful countries of the EU27. I know you think I'm anti-British, but even setting aside the fact that that's complete nonsense, in future if that's your reaction can you give me a chance to clarify (or even retract) rather than jump at the chance to make that accusation?
//He likes our money - as they all do.//
Are the uk the only country to give money or do we give the most money?
Rockrose, No, we’re not the only country to give money to the EU, and no we don’t give the most money, but we are a net contributor - which means we put more in than we get out. We also buy more from the EU than it buys from us. It is very much in the EU’s interest that Brexit fails.
I hope most sincerely that Brexit does fail
I know you do.
Well then we both know where each other is
I don't know why you've said that, Rockrose. Where you are makes no difference to me.

Cobblers, paying a load in then getting a load back does not make you a bigger contributer. You need to look at Net contribution, as I am sure you are well aware.

Germany is by far the largest followed by the UK then followed by the Netherlands and then France.

TRy this site jim, one of your leaver supporting ones:

Excellent you think that jim :-)
Fair point about net v. gross, I was only looking at the second one. It still doesn't defeat my chief point, which is that it was at worst an omission on my part rather than a deliberate anti-British slur.
