I favour mod sabre-rattling over editorial revision. Ahem, I digress... The civilised world needs to make a united stand against this medieval practice, even the grovelling apologists need to see it for what it is. To speak out against such a cruel and barbaric practice is not racist, it is in the interest of humanity.
Don't worry, all is in hand. From the link:
// The government has said it is “absolutely committed” to stamping out the practice. \\
Also from the link:
// Nyuydzewira, who was herself subjected to the abuse as a girl, said British authorities were not taking the problem seriously, and have not prosecuted those doing breast-ironing on their children on grounds of it being seen as a “cultural practice”. \\
You couldn't make it up could you:-(
Yes black African culture is so enriching.
FGM, black knife wielding gangs, and champions for them like Dianne Abbott.
When I see London on the TV I am ashamed of this and successive governments for losing our country.
More coming in daily.
The Marakesch document signed to bring in more.
Leaves me in despair.
if it is the objective of the UK to promote its multicultural credentials, it's really in no position to pick and choose what it will accept, and what it won't - with every ethnic restaurant, or artistic diversity (for example) comes a breast ironing, or FGM, or honour killing. either live with it - or abandon any pretence of cultural acceptance.
First, thank you SpareEd or whoever for bringing my post back to life albeit with a few posts removed.
Webbo, I think Patsy is saying the same as "If men had to give birth there would be no more babies born". If I'm right then that doesn't equate to her thinking child abuse and violence towards men is OK.

Sugar! I just typed quite a long reply then read down the answers to make sure I hadn't missed anyone before I posted. Then awarded Best Answer and went to press Answer Now and my answer had disappeared. I should've known that would happen. I give up I'm not typing it again I'll just thank all who've taken the trouble to reply. xxx
