Jeremy Clarkson & Co In Trouble Again
//Will Young is planning on reporting The Grand Tour to Ofcom after accusing the Amazon Prime series of featuring alleged “homophobic” content.
After being told by another Twitter user that the trio’s “homophobic jokes have to stop”, Clarkson responded:“ What homophobic jokes?” //

A valid complaint – or an over-sensitive Mr Young who really ought to learn to laugh more?

Mr Young has, probably unwittingly, fallen for the trap.
The last of the series these three will make and so some free publicity to ensure it 'sells'. Clarkson is the wrong person to try to make a PC point with, he simply doesnt care.
There are plenty of people on the telly who offend me, I simply use the off switch. Quite simple unless you are of the perpetually offended brigade.

Definitely over-sensitive.
There was no hatred of gays in the jokey comments made - they were merely saying the Jeep Wrangler is liked by gay people. I have no idea whether it is or it isn't, but even if it isn't, so what? And then they ran with the joke.
There was no spite or maliciousness or dislike about gay people in the episode, so Clarkson is correct when he answered Young's whining post with "What homophobic jokes?" If Will Young thinks this was homophobic, then he doesn't know what the word means.
"A young 21 year old man was killed for being gay in a North East village by teenagers last weekend."
Relevance?

I think if, someone generalising gays liking the colour pink and a certain car is going to set off your mental health then you may want to not watch TV, or go on the internet.
the LGBTQ community is thriving and becoming well accepted. It's only when people twist harmless banter and make up random scenarios where you start to get saltiness and hostility which leads to people getting defensive over what they meant.
If Clarkson was gay, would it have been OK? if so, then it isn't a homophobic comment.
