My daughter is a nursery teacher and she has to have her phone switched off during working hours. If smart phones are to be continued to be allowed in schools, they should be handed over at morning registration, retrieved at dinner time, signed back in at afternoon registration and collected at home time. Any pupil falling foul of this could be punished with detention or whatever.
