Am I right
I'm not wrong!
At 1432. How patronizing and over generalizing.
Some same Capital Punishment is state murder. After 15 years in front of you this worthless piece of murdering scum and his like would be begging for a length of rope in his cell. Now that slammer IS a deterrent worth considering. Everyone is now happy.

Yes, it's a jail - a hellhole in fact, the article tells us that.
If UK jails were like this, I doubt they would be a deterrent, as I assume most criminals don’t think they’ll get caught.
But it could go a long way to stop people reoffending if they had to serve out their full sentence somewhere like this.
Bigbad
There are plenty of re-offenders out their now.
Do you not think it a success if the justice system could say in years to come. Nobody re-offends when they get out of here? That is a deterrent enough surely and word gets about the criminal fraternity.
I think you misunderstood retrocop.

I meant that if someone does time in one of these ‘hell hole’ type places, they may be less likely to reoffend than someone who has done time in a ‘regular’ prison. Many of whom seem to see it as a second home with lots of mates.
I also think the full sentence should be served.
An interesting comment made by one of the residents of this facility:
"Notorious escape artist Richard Lee McNair wrote to a journalist from his cell in 2009 to say "Thank God for prisons [...] There are some very sick people in here... Animals you would never want living near your family or the public in general. I don't know how corrections staff deal with it. They get spit on, *** on, abused and I have seen them risk their own lives and save a prisoner many times."[21]"
// Calm down gentlemen, I was only making an observation, you do seem really over-keen on how horrible it is, and it strikes people as peculiar. //

It's because we don't like horrible violent criminals. The kind of people that end up in places like this have generally committed despicable acts. I mean truly despicable. They deserve no sympathy whatsoever.
I wonder how many lives he's destroyed and how many deaths he's been responsible during the course of his chosen career? Best place for him. No sympathy whatsoever.
After reading about this place I have to admit it seems a little harsh; however, the men in there have committed some pretty harsh atrocities...So be it. Scroll down to read about some of the charmers they have ensconced in that prison: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADX_Florence
responsible *for*
This is how all jails should be for violent thugs with no pity or compassion in their make up. Treat them as they have treated others and see how they like it ! Never gonna happen in our soft country though ..
I don't like violent criminals either Ludwig, not one little bit, but what I have a problem with is people pretending that they're all over this because it's 'secure' a 'deterrent' blah blah bah, when clearly actually they're really all over it because it's cruel and it appeals to their sense of vengeance.
Stick them in an inescapable prison, you won't find me moaning about that, let them stay there til they die, I won't moan about that either, they deserve it, but the state sponsored psychological torture of people you will find me calling out, along with those who get 'excited' about it, hence my post.
I don’t pretend anything. As long as law-abiding citizens are protected from him I don’t care what happens to him or how harsh his circumstances are.
At 1534. The only one "excited" here appears to by you. Are you stomping you feet and waving your fists in the air? ...Keep calm.
Me? No, not at all why ever would I do that? lol As I said previously it's just an observation.
What you call cruelty and vengeance I call justice Calico. I like the prison because it appeals to my sense of justice, and make no apology for saying so.
If there was irreputable evidence that he was guilty no chance of mistakes, then I would advocate for the death penalty, there are some crimes so abhorrent that the perpetrators should not be allowed a life, that’s my opinion right or wrong.
