I know its a plane and an airport but if you ask on any Mums chat forum the stories of leaving babies outside shops and so on are legion. baby brain is not just a story.

I left my dog tied up outside the paper shop once, I was half-way home before I remembered him. It was a matter of minutes but I felt guilty.

A baby is a very precious and irreplaceable thing - I can't imagine 'forgetting' one at the airport.

Everything obviously ended well for everybody, so I can inject a bit of humour now by saying that this reminded me a bit of the film, "Home Alone 2", where Kevin ends up on a different plane and nobody notices until it's too late.

I think it's quite common. I know my mum left my sister in her pram outside the post office. She said she was walking home thinking "I'm sure I've forgot something"
