Taking into account the present state of our political parties, do you think that If we had the choice of a 'true' Right Wing ' party, that they would gain power in this country?

No. Not at all.
Right wing in the old term accepted way. No

But the newer regarded as right wing such as Brexit party for this one issue yes.

Then when it had all settled down and back to some semblance of normality and assuming the ‘Brexit’ party wasn’t needed or didn’t have any policies for long term then I would probably go back to the better of the two party options....
Well, your Mr Hilter started getting voted in, then as time went on no longer bothered with such nonsense.

Now there was a True Right Winger...

B
The BBC’s definition of right wing from aog’s link:

 religious beliefs
 community
 national identity
 protection against immigration
 support for the family unit

I can go with community, national identity, and support for the family unit, but religion isn’t top of my list and what does ‘Protection against immigration’ mean? I don’t support uncontrolled immigration, and I think we should be far more selective than we are, but ‘protection against immigration’? That sounds very iffy to me. That being the criteria as the BBC sees it, no I wouldn’t vote for a ‘true right Wing party’.
really right wing ?
like sortta makes Pres Trump look like a pinko wet liberal .....
Well I don't think Rees-Mogg is above annexing Poland, so crack on.

Why would ANYONE vote for anything bit a largely centreist party?
You tell me what a right-wing party means and I'll tell you why I won't vote for it.
So, the BBC defines "right-wing" as support for:

1. religious beliefs
2. community
3. national identity
4. "protection" against immigration
5. support for the family unit

(4) is meaningless (as Naomi has pointed out).

Do I take it, therefore, that the BBC defines "left-wing" as being against the other four points? Or is that a false inference?
I dunno do they not have their definition up somewhere? Seems odd to have only a right wing definition...
Jim, //You tell me what a right-wing party means and I'll tell you why I won't vote for it. //

Copied from the BBC:

religious beliefs
community
national identity
protection against immigration
support for the family unit

v_e, //(4) is meaningless (as Naomi has pointed out).

Do I take it, therefore, that the BBC defines "left-wing" as being against the other four points? Or is that a false inference? //

An interesting question.

Define 'True right wing!'
‘Do I take it, therefore, that the BBC defines "left-wing" as being against the other four points? Or is that a false inference?’

Yes, it’s false inference. To surmise that a party with a polar opposite name has polar opposite viewpoint / policies is incorrect. Look at Labour in the 90s.

Hitler was the leader of the The National 'SOCIALIST' German Workers' Party.

And wasn't Joe Stalin a True Left Winger?

"More selective than we are."

Don't you think that is what it means?
aog, I don't know what 'protection against immigration' means. Any idea?

Well I would have thought:

No more of Labour's failed experiment of mass immigration and multiculturalism.
Both of those have caused many problem for our country.
Yes I agree with you, selective immigration is not only acceptable but also necessary for the efficient running of our country.
I did see the copied BBC definition of "right-wing", but -- given your own objections to it -- I thought that maybe AOG and others should come up with their own.

Jim, that was the link that aog provided when I asked the same question so I assume that's his definition. My objection is irrelevant to anyone else. I simply answered his question.

And I only supplied you with a BBC link which give their definitions. So please don't assume that they are also my definition.
aog, Now I'm confused. I asked for a definition and you supplied that link. Why provide it if you don't agree with it?
