It's a shame she didn't get what she went there for, but with so much martyrdom going on around her it should've been easy to achieve, so she obviously wasn't trying hard enough.
As I've said on other threads, having to live with the consequences of her choices and stay where she is, is a more appropriate punishment and deterrent to others, than anything that could be imposed by our legal system.
