Would the construction crew have needed to be around? An electrical fault perhaps - and no one there to spot it?
True, Naomi, that's one possibility. It will be a tough case to investigate properly. Did you see my post at 1711?
I did. :o)
“We get quite a few of these sort of incidents they should be able to do it by now.“

I agree and the fact they don’t is what makes people think

ichkeria //They have said it was “probably” accidental: as no evidence of arson has yet been found.//

They said it was accidental (not probably) within hours of it starting. While it was an inferno, obviously before any investigation could be started.
If you look back at the original threads, you'll see that people were questioning this at the time.
The most likely cause of any fire is (I would think) accidental but it's not unreasonable to ask why the authorities put out these nonsense statements.
johnny.5 /// but they are not jumping to any conclusions until fire report is published///

But that's exactly what they did do.
//They said it was accidental (not probably) within hours of it starting. //
The next day 50, yes 50, investigators were set to work to find the cause but not necessarily alter the "official" cause.
Just to say, as you do. Despite restoration work being carried out (see scaffold) the Cathedral was still open to the public. No security detail was in place and all stairwells and access were open to said public. The fire started right at the end of the last admissions to the cathedral and indeed when the alarm was raised the public visitors were evacuated. As yet there is no indication as to whether someone accidently climbed the stairs to view the roof construction and accidently set fires in the bone dry timber construction. It is however ruled out as a possibility.
No message they can put out will satisfy the likes of Alex Jones. Why should they they they do second guess people like that?
I fail to see what else they can say, especially when what they do say will be disregarded by them.
Well they could say nothing until they've investigated.
Sorry to see your stutter has returned.
//Maybe someone witnessed the cause and it was accidental or negligent?//

Yes indeed. When Chef of Deuxieme Bureau, Paris Dpt was asked he replied,'"We are not totally sure if we know who was responsible but",he said,"he had a hunch"

/// Although this is a fair question, could members refrain from attributing any alleged act of arson to a particular race or religion and please can we keep speculation to a minimum. ///

Thank you for re-opening my thread once again, but now having the chance to read through the thread up to it's closure, I can see no post that has "attributing any alleged act of arson to a particular race or religion".

Perhaps someone on the button accidentally pressed it or they them self, was reading something into it that didn't exist?
The post immediately before yours did and that's why it has been removed.
Sigh... Corby, unless the ABed has developed foresight, the post above AOG's has nothing to do with AOG's question.
In your eagerness to attack AOG you just don't think, do you.

The ABSpareEditor intervened yesterday, the post that was removed which you refer to was removed much later after her request.
Sigh all you like, I was only pointing out with the post had been removed.
How did I attack ANOTHEOLDGIT? I stated a fact, perhaps you should think before posting...
I see, your post was nothing to do with anything, you just thought you'd point that out for us. Thanks corby.

Thank you spicerack, you must have entered your post whilst I was replying to THECORBYLOON. As you say he jumps in to have his usual attack at me, but he has got to be much more intelligent than he is, to stand a chance in his failed quests to get at me.
